Description
The Synchronizer device is the missing link between fireworks and multimedia. Its multiple functions allow you to use it in different ways in a variety of situations. Whenever you need to synchronize multiple events with each other or with music, Synchronizer is the solution!
Insert your USB stick with the song and let the Synchronizer do the rest. You can synchronize it with an SMPTE signal, you can use an SMPTE generated by the Synchronizer, you can set an automatic time for it to start, you can manage it remotely with the firing system, or you can press play manually or from the external Trigger.
DETAIL OF FUNCTIONS
The Synchronizer can be used in 5 different modes that are always visible in the SOURCE box and marked by a special LED.
- Manual Start: behaves like a traditional audio player, so by pressing the Play / Pause buttons you can manage the audio. At the same time, it also generates the SMPTE signal and synchronizes the firing system.
- External Input: the management is manual as for the previous option, but Play is performed from the outside through the “External” XLR5 connector. A traditional button or a trigger impulse from other systems can be applied to this connector.
- SMPTE: The start, pause, choice of the starting point, takes place completely through the incoming Timecode, which can be a SMPTE at 24, 25, 30 FPS.
- Remote Control: All controls take place remotely, via cable or radio directly from the firing system. The Master Compact Pyromac is currently compatible, which commands the beginning of the song at the same time as the fireworks display.
- GPS: The Start occurs automatically by setting a certain time, after which the Synchronizer starts playback. The time is guaranteed thanks to the sophisticated GPS receiver that obtains the exact time with an accuracy of 0.000001 seconds.
AUDIO
It is essential to have excellent quality audio at any reputable event. The audio generation stage used in the Synchronizer is of high quality, therefore able to faithfully reproduce the loaded tracks. It is generated by a 24bit DAC with an SNR ratio of 100dB. The sampling frequency is 44.1Khz.
The multiple audio outputs allow you to connect the most varied devices, in fact on the panel there are:
- Balanced stereo output (dual XLR3)
- Unbalanced stereo output (dual RCA)
- Unbalanced output with adjustable volume (stereo mini-jack)
- Unbalanced mono output for SMPTE-out (single XLR3)
- Balanced and unbalanced input for SMPTE-in (XLR3 combo Jack ¼ “).
GPS AND SYNCHRONISM
The synchronism of the reproduced audio is guaranteed by the sophisticated internal GPS receiver which obtains the exact time with an accuracy of 0.000001 seconds. Therefore, it does not matter where the Synchronizers are or when the set time strikes, they will all start running in perfect synchrony.
An internal high-gain antenna allows you to receive satellite signals even indoors. Should it be impossible to synchronize with the GPS system, a quartz clock inside the Synchronizer keeps the time even when the device is turned off.
The position of the device is not extrapolated and used; the GPS signals are used only for time synchronization.
USER INTERFACE
The extreme ease of use of the Synchronizer is the basis of the entire project. All the information necessary to operate is always visible on the large panel. The physical buttons dedicated to each function allow the user to use it extremely quickly and naturally.
Two different displays independently show information regarding the audio track from the system information. The ability to select the menu language would make anyone feel like the master of this product.
EXPANSIONS
Synchronizer is ahead of its time, offering the possibility to connect the most disparate expansions. From the “External” XLR5 connector: it is possible to take an auxiliary voltage of 24Vdc (limited electronically), it is possible to set the output to be controlled by the execution of the show, it is possible to start the show using an external button and, finally, it is also possible to control execution with a generic Trigger impulse coming from other systems.
SAFETY
The Synchronizer is designed to be left in the audio direction, in the hands of other operators who do not know its functions. In order to prevent anyone from changing the settings of the Synchronizer, a special key lock function automatically intervenes every thirty seconds, thus making it impossible to tamper with the device, including turning it off!
ADVANTAGES
The purchase of a professional technological product, developed with the most modern digital systems dedicated to quality audio, allows you to take your events to a higher level.
Whatever type of event you need to organize, Synchronizer always offers the right solution, regardless of who the partners at the event are and how they work.
Auxiliary signals allow you to connect to unconventional devices that do not use Timecode.
Simplifying the setup of the ignition system and having an effective solution is essential for dealing with large events in peace.
REMOTE AUDIO
Those who use the Pyromac firing system enjoy further possibilities of using the Synchronizer.
The configuration most utilized is, in fact, the “remote audio player”. In this mode, the Master Compact Pyromac can recognize the Synchronizer as a slave module, both during the igniters test and during the firing. Unlike the pyrotechnic modules that perform the ignition of the artifices, the Synchronizer begins to reproduce the audio on which the show is designed. This solution is the preferred solution for medium-large pyromusical shows, where it can be very helpful to have the audio generation in a different place to where the firing console is located.
The connection between Master Compact Pyromac and the Synchronizer can be made via XLR4 cable or via radio modem (standard or dual band). Remotely you can view all the internal parameters (battery level, mode of use, song title, ID…) and it is also possible to turn it off with a special remote shutdown command.
The Master Compact can manage up to a maximum of 9 Synchronizers, which can be placed in very distant places to have multiple audio amplification points all synchronized with each other.
The show can be started from the Master Compact Pyromac manually by pressing FIRE, through the classic Timecode input of the Master or from the Synchronizer, with one of the many functions it has.
MULTI POINT
One of our customers’ favorite configurations is the multi-point synchronism.
Consider, for example, the creation of a show on a long stretch of coast or within a large bay. The distances between the firing points can be many kilometers, distances probably not reachable by the radio modules of the firing systems. In this situation, the optimal solution is the organization of multiple independent shows, each managed by its own Master, making them at an acceptable distance from their firing points.
To synchronize all the Masters with each other in important events, it is certainly no longer possible in 2020 to “call” each other between pyrotechnic operators to press FIRE all together, especially when it comes to pyromusical shows with large sequential effects, including multiple firing areas.
The perfect solution is to equip each Master with a Synchronizer. By setting the same start time on all devices, each Master will be able to perform the show perfectly synchronized with all the others! Furthermore, each Synchronizer will make possible to take the audio signal to a high quality and to be able to amplify it in each station.
This system also allows you to operate with multiple firing systems of different brands, since the Synchronizers can control the Masters of others using the standard SMPTE Timecode, now decoded by almost all firing systems on the market.
